Printing What's Next in Global Finance. Elegantly, Exclusively, Conclusively.

FinancialWeek (FW) is a premiere, visual-first financial news magazine and leadership community serving sophisticated institutional investment audiences.

FW threads contemporary angles and presentational elegance with rigorous, expert perspective to champion new global markets.

FinancialWeek presents a members-powered, fiercely independent and multifaceted platform. We are a financial news brand collection and executive network. A research showcase and recognition house. And a trusted activations partner.

What brings it all together? Our steadfast commitment to diversification, fostering greater allocations, access, and mindshare for new and next.

Powered by our Forward community members — the world's leading investors and financiers, wealth advisors, innovators and professional partners — FinancialWeek is an imprint of Toneboard Ventures, a communications VC in the Crunchbase global top percentile.

We realise our goals through several products and channels, which we invite you to explore below.

Superflex Studio

Our partnership and corporate communications studio leveraging decades of team experience and purpose-built to help global markets players confidently emerge, engage, and excel.

Why We're Here

FinancialWeek was founded to meet a moment of fast-shifting and momentous change, increasingly tilted towards new corners of global markets.

Yet whether in its scale, innovation or attention the world's investment in new economies and modalities not only hasn't caught up; it simply isn't close. FW is here to change that.

Tracking the wider pulse and unpacking hidden salience, FinancialWeek is about discovery, helping audiences and participants on our platform sustain edge in the ever-hotter competition for capital and ideas. Everything here is designed and dedicated to seizing this opportunity: as a conduit to amplify investment story, draw important distinctions, showcase excellence, and ultimately drive allocation and greater affinity for the markets we cover.

That is our reason for being. To foster a more open and unafraid investment world, moving plus ultra – further beyond – by prioritising:

Balance

Hyper-concentration in markets today, in our view, is both generally unhealthy and unjustified. FW coverage leans heavily into data and research because, with a fuller picture, we believe the case for diversification, liberalisation, and innovation is more effectively made.

Alacrity

We mention elegance a lot; for us, it isn't frivolous. What's new and next typically struggles to achieve narrative formation and uptake, despite their increasing attractiveness in both absolute and relative terms. We believe they deserve a better platform, animating value and presenting creatively and efficiently. With this in mind, in a world oversaturated with information, we're able to better observe and spotlight what's missed, too.

Adventure

FinancialWeek borrows journalistic ethos from a past era of financial reporting, one rooted in curiosity – creating room for both serious critique and the eccentric personalities and bets that make global markets special. Our editorial independence increasingly makes us unique, and we are not for sale.

What We Are & Aren't.

Ours is an advocative mission. Our values matter.

The FW team's heritage comes from financial communication practise as well as newsrooms; we know what is valuable to audiences and to our members. We also deeply respect the role and indeed added value of hard journalism and publishing rigour.

What we are, then, and what makes us different, hangs on the following tentpoles:

Product Quality.

Many financial publications, particularly those focused on new markets and asset classes, aren't remotely built for the 21st Century. FinancialWeek aspires to be rich in detail, beautiful, connective and widely surfaced – creating anticipation much like print. Not just another asset or piece of coverage, you'll be proud to share our product. We do this while retaining disciplined editorial standards that favour quality over churn. Call us old fashioned. For us, what's old is new.

Widening Opportunity.

We believe participation and diversity of viewpoints is essential to make the case and mitigate herding and groupthink so in thrall across today's markets.

Excellence Over Clicks.

We don't take ourselves too seriously. But we believe there are sufficient sources of memes, creator content, Substacks, and other flavours of jaunty takes and funny nonsense already. Targeted authority and high-intent, not rote clicks, are what matter to our members and therefore to our platform.

Human.

We continue to observe, with concern, the proliferation of self-publishing, fake reporters, and AI-driven content platforms in our industry both eroding fair dealing and the truth. To say nothing of questionable ethics, investors simply deserve better, end stop, and editorial autonomy provides that value. Nothing gets published on FinancialWeek without human eyes editing it first, and occasionally being tough is part of our business. We take this stewardship very seriously.

Our team is always open to chatting about these values and choices, and how we implement them in our practises.

Our Verticals & Coverage

Finance

Our flagship Finance section includes investment, markets, and wealth segments. We focus on new global investment across public, private and alternative asset classes, including fund leadership and strategy innovation, the modalities and thematics now growing in stature, and the ways globally-based institutions and allocators, themselves, increasingly bear influence on markets today.

Markets includes traditional investment banking practises including capital markets and deal financing, innovation in market making and venues that globalises access and capital, as well as core sectors and commercial banking important to new global economies. In this space we also add multilateral and blended finance.

Finally, our wealth coverage eyes each of these from a specialised individual and family perspective, including portfolio management and solutions, private banking capabilities, a specific focus on global real estate, and the culture of global wealth.

Professional

Pro tracks the latest across law and regulation, management consulting disciplines, as well as talent and knowledge – how they enable our financial industries and are fast-maturing to meet global needs. Here, we also cover investor engagement and perception (public relations and affairs) partners and their widening role.

Innovation

Tech takes a fairly specific interest in two areas: venture fintech and emerging enterprise. Our venture coverage includes both VC and startups' landscapes focused on institutional finance and infrastructure. Emerging enterprise tracks strategies and developments surrounding hyperscale, Web3, and cyber risks at a firm and market level.

Global Macro

Covering the investment teams and expert firms that shape and measure our sense of the world, Theta Affairs eyes macro, geoeconomics, politics, and emerging risks from a holistic and interconnected perspective – all disciplines both ever-growing and responding to tectonic shifts. We take an additional view onto the data stack and science behind these practises, as well.

Research & Recognition

FW is proud to present the industry's first global recognition calendar, FW Honours, featuring a full slate of awards, executive spotlights, and tables across our core verticals, and exclusively focused on new global markets.

These include our listings judged for excellence, innovation, and impact among individual leaders; our corporate awards; and our specialised league tables, rankings and guides.

Calendars

The inaugural series will launch in fall 2026 through the end of the year, and will subsequently follow a monthly calendar throughout 2027.

Entry & Fees

Listings and awards nominations, as well as collateral for tables, rankings and guides, can be submitted through our dedicated portal along with payment. In keeping with our mission, fees are aligned and limited only to our production costs. For 2026, all programs are set at $295 and discounted for our members.

Adjudication

Our Research Directorate is the responsible body independently overseeing the full range of annual programmes, including selections and oversight of our methodology. Advisors are senior leaders well-placed from around our industries; more information is available upon request.

Studio

We've rooted our advisory and studio in a client-centricity and advocacy mindset for over a decade. Therefore, as positioned both on and beyond, we provide F&M Bureaux members a suite of communications services and branded activations for the pioneers shaping the full range of our covered industries.

This financial communications advisory and content arm crafts bespoke engagement strategy, media campaigns, core branding and advocacy for organisations serving a range of audiences – both D2C and B2B. The studio also serves the production arm for our showcase partnership content and our live experiential settings.

All of our capabilities here are designed in keeping with our mission: to extend the influence of new investment modalities and geographies, the firms serving them, and leaders who champion them.

The practice team leverages collective decades of investor marketing, digital and reputation management experience, with successes in market entry and introducing investment products, campaigns securing premium placements, and stewarding image for the world's largest asset managers, investment banks, private funds, law firms and technologists.
